Read These Tips Before Buying An Automatic Swimming Pool Cleaner

Sunday, May 11th, 2008

When you are looking for an automatic swimming pool cleaner, you have basically three
types to choose from – skimmer systems, booster-pump systems and in-floor systems. It
doesn’t really matter which one you use as long as you do have a pool cleaner to keep the
water free from debris and harmful bacteria. The automatic cleaners save you a lot of
work, because it is backbreaking work to manually clean a swimming pool and it is
something that has to be done on a regular basis.

Deer Hunting - Hunting Pressure

Wednesday, May 7th, 2008

Like most hardcore deer hunters, you looked at maps, found food sources and located the rubs. When the time was right, you moved in set up a stand and waited for the deer to appear in this hot spot. Hour after hour, day after day you sit and no deer ever show up. Many hunters will base most of the hunting season on the sign they find waiting for the deer to show up. Sound familiar? What happened and why no deer?

Future Skateboard And Hover Board Power Units Discussed

Tuesday, May 6th, 2008

How will the future self-propelled hover boards be powered? Recently the Online Think Tank discussed this topic at length with several engineers, designers, futurists and skateboarders. Many considered this issue and some of the ideas were pretty futuristic, yet potentially feasible.

For instance what about a Solar Powered Skateboard or hover board? It would be left in the sun to charge and then when ready to ride, turn it on and away you go? Is it possible; well, not quite yet, although solar cells due to all the research are twice as powerful today as they were 5 years ago and about 3 times as efficient. Today there are even solar cells on film wrap which could adorn a skateboards body.

How To Defeat A Street Fighter, Bruce-lee Style

Monday, May 5th, 2008

Did you know that Bruce Lee thought that street-fighters had limitations?

Yes, street-fighters!

I realize that most classically trained martial artists have a secret, internal fear of wild street fighters. At least the more grounded, realistic practitioners do.

The wild, unpredictable actions of a street fighter are … just too wild to be countered with sequential blocks and two-beat counters.

Why Bruce Lee Thought Street Fighters Have a Disadvantage
Would you like to know what Bruce Lee said specifically?

Bruce Lee said that street-fighters had a “lack of finesse in structure.” He felt that “an efficient sharpening of ‘tools’ [was] generally lacking.”

Embracing The Journey: My 1st Iron Man Experience

Friday, May 2nd, 2008

I am very grateful to have had the opportunity to participate in such an amazing event as the Iron Man Triathlon. I truly value living in a free and democratic country that is not only war free but beautiful beyond belief. To have 5000 volunteers for 2500 athletes is phenomenal and I commend the people of Penticton for continuing to do such an outstanding job of hosting this event.

The journey to the starting line of Iron Man Canada in Penticton started about a year ago. I had completed 14 marathons and a handful of ½ Iron Man triathlons but the Iron Man always seemed so mind boggling and apparently out of my reach.

Exploring The Outdoors With A First Aid Kit For Hiking

Thursday, May 1st, 2008

Hiking can be one of the most wonderful activities you can pursue; physical activity in beautiful surroundings; exploring new places; breathing in fresh air. Unfortunately it can also be one of best places to experience a myriad of injuries. Because of the nature of the activity – traveling, sometimes solo, in a secluded setting – it is absolutely imperative to carry a first aid kit for hiking.

A first aid kit for hiking includes a number of important things and should be carried with you at all times. Make sure the container is lightweight and easily transportable as you will more than likely carry it with your other supplies in your backpack.

Uefa Is Wrong About Football Matches On Armenia, Azerbaijan

Thursday, May 1st, 2008

UEFA decides to cancel Armenia vs Azerbaijan matches and give both sides zero points. While Armenia wanted to play according to UEFA rules and was ready to host a match in Armenia and travel to Baku for the exchange game, Azerbaijan refused to host Armenia and travel to Yerevan, thus going against the established UEFA rules.

Usually in this type of a situation UEFA punishes the side that goes against the established rules. In this case Armenia and Azerbaijan are punished in an equal way. One asks WHY? How just is this?
