Introduction To Feng Shui

Tuesday, May 27th, 2008

Feng shui is a term commonly thrown about in popular culture. Here is an introduction to this practical Chinese philosophy.

Feng shui is an ancient Chinese tradition involving the placement and arrangement of space and belongings. The goal is to achieve balance with the environment. The spiritual aspects of feng shui align with spiritual components of Chinese medicine. Ancient Chinese philosophy believed that mankind needed to find balance between the yin (feminine) and the yang (masculine). In Chinese medicine, this means that you find balance in salty and sour or hot and cold. In feng shui, the polarity is also related to finding balance between the spaces of the living (yin) and the spaces of the dead (yang), as well as creating balance between the elements of nature and the movements of man.

How Do Solar Cells Work

Saturday, April 26th, 2008

There is a growing awareness by governments and the public at large that fossil fuels are a finite resource that continues to be used up at alarming rates in developed and developing countries. The realization that there may be little future for the planet if we continue to use these fuels has prompted governments to look for alternative energy resources. Most governments seem to be torn between embracing the renewable energy resources like wind, wave and solar power or opting for nuclear power despite public uneasiness at the use of nuclear energy. It seems that governments feel in their hearts that renewable resources are the way to go so they introduce policy to reward people for using solar power. But in their heads they feel that nuclear is tried and tested and has demonstrated that it can deliver energy in large quantities at a reasonable price. With this debate raging it seems topical to focus on solar energy and discuss how solar cells work to provide energy that we can use.

Teleportation - Is That Day Coming?

Friday, March 14th, 2008

Many believe that the Star Trek Teletransporters are coming. Many advanced physicists, will not deny it and agree that someday it should potentially be possible. Are you interested in discussing “teleportation” theory, which would be accomplished outside of the future hyper-mind’s ability to assimilate and stimulate particle spin or ion charge to create or disperse matter?

Many scientists and Science Fiction lovers have such theories and there are some great research papers on this bizarre potential eventuality. Indeed, I have some theories myself, well idea-concept level thoughts on long-distance laser mining, weather control, shared pair quantum entanglement manipulations, energy transfer, canceling out time, created atmospheric eddie flows, etc. all of which are somewhat off-shoots of Teleportation theory.
